AASTMT Alamein officially inaugurated the new UPTAKERS Immersive Realities Lab, marking an important milestone in advancing immersive technologies within architectural education.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Architecture Department, the Dean of the College, and the Vice Dean for Educational and Student Affairs, who participated in the official launch and explored the lab’s advanced facilities.
During the event, the UPTAKERS team showcased the newly acquired equipment, including VR headsets, motion tracking systems, 360° cameras, and high-performance workstations. Attendees experienced live demonstrations and test trials of the immersive technologies, with both academic leaders and students engaging directly with the equipment and XR applications.
The lab represents a major step toward integrating digital innovation, immersive learning, and interactive technologies into the architecture curriculum and student experience at AASTMT Alamein.
