
Between 23 and 25 of April, 2025 it took place the Intercampus Lab Visit in Romania, under the framework of the UPTAKERS Project. The event was organized by ”Ovidius” University of Constanta, the coordinator of the UPTAKERS Project, with the participation of the partners from Italy, Spain, Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia.
The first day of the event, 23rd of April, 2025 was organized at the Research Infrastructure for the Development of Smart Innovative Products, Processes and Services, PRECIS, Politechnica University of Bucharest.
In the program of the first day it was included an onsite presentation of the practical aspects in organizing VR Labs for teaching purposes organized togheter with Chrome Computers Ltd. and consisted on the visit of the training lab of highschool teachers on VR technologies for the General School Inspectorate from Bucharest.
In the last part of the first day it was organized an on-site presentation of immersive experience labs, from the International Center for Research and Education in Innovative and Creative Technologies, CINETic, National University of Theatre and Cinematography “I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest.
The second day of the event, 24th of April, 2025 was dedicated to the „Presentation of the VR Labs for Medical Training Applications” of the Centre for Innovation and e-health, CieH, Carol Davila University of Medicine & Pharmacy, Bucharest and to the „Presentation of the VR Labs for Modeling and Simulation” from the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics-ICI Bucharest.
The third day of the event, 25th of April, 2025 was organized at the Campus of the ”Ovidius” University of Constanta and it was dedicated to the presentation of the ”Ovidius” University of Constanta team on VR activities for education.
The program included also, an online presentation regarding the experience of a company NaraXR on organizing Multiuser Applications on XR Activities for Education.
The program has been closed with an open workshop on the structuring of the Laboratories from the Uptakers Beneficiary Universities, organized in hybrid format with the participation of the representatives of all project partners.
The discussion have been moderated by Prof. Dr. Eng. Eden Mamut, aiming the synthesis of conclusions for the selection of the equipment and setting up similar laboratories in beneficiary universities.
