The Uptakers meeting started in a hybrid format, taking place in person at Sapienza University in Rome and online.
The UPTAKERS project (Upgrading academic skills and innovative caPacities through virTuAlly Enclusive hybRid Studios) is an Erasmus+ initiative supported by the European Union. It aims to transform higher education through immersive technologies (XR – virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality).
By striving to modernize higher education, making it more interactive and inclusive, and to bridge the digital divide through the standardized integration of XR technologies, UPTAKERS is fostering an educational transformation. The project combines academic skill development, innovative pedagogy, and immersive technology to better prepare both students and educators for the future of learning.
This project is a great step towards more inclusive, innovative, and hybrid learning in higher education.
