The UPTAKERS team conducted an introductory session for Architecture students enrolled in the new 144-credit curriculum, presenting the updated academic structure and future learning pathways.
The session began with an introduction by the Head of Department on the newly launched system of five specialized concentrations, designed to better align architectural education with emerging industry trends and digital transformation.
The UPTAKERS team then presented its contribution to the “Digital Design” concentration, supported through the project by introducing 2 new courses and 4 updated courses focused on immersive technologies, XR applications, and digital workflows in architecture.
Students were also introduced to the new lab facilities and equipment available through UPTAKERS, including VR headsets, KAT Loco motion tracking systems, and 360° cameras, highlighting the project’s role in creating a more interactive and technology-driven learning environment.
A major step toward shaping the future of digital architectural education at AASTMT Alamein.
